Teach your toddler / child to take a pill.

It's tried and true. I have learned the hard way, but you don't have to. The amazing jet-puffed marshmallow cream! It's just that easy. Get a small spoon and scoop up a small amount of marshmallow cream and drop the pill into the cream. You don't even have to hide the pill. You don't have to crush the pill. Then offer the cream to the child.
The cream is so sticky, smooth and slippery that it holds on to the pill and slides down your child's throat with ease and they like the taste.
Some of my kids have to take pills each day and I use this easy and yummy trick to make my mornings run more smoothly. This only works if the pill can be taken with food. I am not a doctor but I am a mom and this worked for my kids. Some pills can be broken but some can Not, some pill can be taken with food and some can Not. I have tried the pill cup and that didn't work for us. I have tried drinking fast, holding the nose, apple sauce, i even tried to teach then by using tictax and m&m candy, and every other trick in the book. I have been through the tears, and so has my child. I hope this post helps so that my readers children can skip the drama. My little guy is two years old and it works for him as we'll as my five year old and my ten year old. Good luck.

  1. Awesome idea. I have never thought of using marshmallow cream. I did teach my husband how to swallow a pill back in the day using ice cream!
